Stacey - Your Adoption Coordinator

Just a quick note about your adoption coordinator Stacey---She is the best of the best at the rescue.  I started working with her in December of 2021.  We have successfully worked on 30 plus adoptions. Outside of Rescue, she is truly a kind and wonderful person as well.

She is very attentive to the needs of the adopters.  She does not rush through adoptions but genuinely makes sure it is a good fit for the family and the dog. If you need anything once your baby reaches you, she can provide the correct direction for you.

Funny story...We had been working together for 10 months before we ever met and had a conversation.  Everything was via text or email.  I appreciate the fact that she texts in complete sentences!

She is an amazing mom to the cutest toddler ever.  We named a litter of puppies after her son and let him name each of the puppies.

Our first meeting at the Rescue's Gala last year.

Play Time July 11, 2023

So I was in the office today and came home for some play time. I'm going to share a bunch of videos. And please know that everyone is doggie door trained. I don't know that they figured out exactly why they go in and out yet. But we're working on that.  Enjoy!

Your Crazy Foster Mom...

In case you were wondering who was taking care of your babies... I'm a native Texan. I am an accountant for a local community college.  I also teach college accounting online. Outside of dogs, I enjoy fishing and crafts. I have been fostering for Three Little Pitties since they first began.  I actually did their accounting for the first year.  My rescue passion is momma dogs and their babies.  Three momma dogs have given birth at my house.  Those were truly wonderful experiences. .

I have had 157 foster pups and have managed to only foster fail twice.  That in itself is another miracle. A lot of people ask if fostering is hard. And sometimes it is. And sometimes it's a lot easier to say goodbye. I've been really fortunate to keep in touch with many adopters. And I always enjoy seeing what the dogs are up to and how they are living their best life ever. So once your puppies make their way to you, please don't ever hesitate to send a picture or an update and know how much it's appreciated.

Each day I give your sweet little pups some one-on-one time. They all get along so well together and each of them are very affectionate. I am indeed looking forward to all of their new adventures with each of you.

A Typical Day

I decided to start our typical day the night before. Below are pics of a clean pen. It typically takes about 90 minutes to clean really well.  That time can also be affected by how often they come in to "help" me.   For those that are curious...a growing puppy poops about 5 times a day.  Multiply that by 5 and sometimes it seems like we are in deep poop.

This is a little bit of our evening schedule.  Puppies are typically in their room, lights out with a night light around 9 pm. They do sleep through the night until about 7 am...depends on how quiet my two dogs and I are!  I will also hear them playing.  I work remotely on Monday and Wednesday so we typically go outside for a few minutes first thing in the morning and at lunch and in the evenings. Malik is sleeping under the Christmas tree behind the pen.  He easily climbs over the short fence.  Sadie climbs over too.

Short play time video before calling it a night.

Countdown!

Hello Everyone...At this point I am sure it feels like it might be forever before your baby arrives home. I have decided to start this blog to bring your more information regarding our daily activities.   I am planning to provide more information and updates about the puppies.  It will be in one place.  I feel like that will be more manageable and perhaps more interesting to you.

I am sure that each of you have seen these pictures of your babies.  They were 10 days old.  Junie, Sadie, Thalia, Malik and Tonka. Tonka weighed 1.7 ounces, the girls were just over 3 ounces and Malik was over 4 ounces.  Their momma Reina was about 15 pounds.  I had never seen such small puppies with so many fleas.  It took a day or so to get rid of the fleas.  Momma Reina started eating well and puppies have thrived since then.
